Fundamentals of Terra D’Agua part 1

February 24th, 2012

Wow it’s been a while since we last updated this blog. Shame on us! Actually not so much shame because I could give reasons for it but I won’t bother you with that straight away. The important thing is that right now Claudia and I are going through an internal and why not say it, an online presence revolution (we will be refreshing our blog/ site and other stuff on the following weeks. Don’t expect fire on the streets but we get pumped by calling it a revolution) :D

In the last months, we have been haunted by one simple question:

What is the purpose of our voyage and consequently this blog and our site? The answer can’t be given in a single phrase. I will ask you (if I may?!) to bear with us for the long explanation to come. I will give the answer in a series that we will call it The fundamentals of Terra D’Agua.

I believe that you can understand more clearly where we stand and where we are heading if you know a bit more of where we come from. I understand that there are basic questions from our online readers that we never answered. In fact, these questions are the same ones that we get from our friends or when we meet people on the streets. Questions like: How did Claudia and Tassio meet? How did we decide to sail around the world together? Who pays our bills (boat included)? How do we make money to keep going? Why do we want to do what we are doing? Why we did not update our blog/site so often? What are our plans for the future? And finally what is the purpose of this voyage and consequently of this blog and site?

There is a very cool blog out there that is called Sunshine stories. They recently updated a section called blog & friends with a honest description of us. We really like what they wrote about us and they stated something (among other things) that it was very much true about our blog. That something is that we did not update our blog so often! These guys are our “online friends”. Meaning that even though we enjoy a lot what they do, and we keep exchanging emails in hope to meet someday, we never met them in person. So, Linn and Petter we got a surprise for ya :D From now on, we are promising you our readers to keep this blog up to date! And the reason for that will be answered together with the other questions above.

How WONDER FULL (I like to separate that word;) is the internet. We can share amazing stories (like the one of the couple above), we can connect with different realities and we can use all that to build a better present and consequently a better future!

Stay tuned for our news to come, share this blog with a friend and if you haven’t yet support this project by giving your thumb up at our page on facebook.

Tassio.
